About Me
Hello! My name is Hannah Wright.
I was born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana - a small town where a passion for sports is practically woven into the fabric of life. The energy of attending and participating in sporting events has always been something I loved very much. My ties to the Hoosier heritage led me 10 minutes down the road to Indiana University—a perfect fit due to its outstanding sports media program and nationally recognized cheerleading team.
I graduated from Indiana University in May 2023 with a degree in Media Advertising with a specialization in Sports Journalism. During college, I had the pleasure of pursuing my passion for sports and digital media by working as a Social and Digital Media Intern for IU Athletics.
In addition to my full-time work as a Social and Digital Media Intern, I proudly assumed the role of a member of the Indiana University Cheerleading team. Being a member of the IU cheerleading team taught me the importance of collaboration and being a team player. I value responsibility, trusted relationships, and leadership. All traits which I apply to my daily work.
Post-graduation, my path led me to an internship with the Tampa Bay Rays, where I gained hands on experience and exposure in professional sports. I am now currently in a role as a Social and Digital Media Content Coordinator for the Big Ten Network, where I continue to learn and flourish in the realm of social media in a professional and collegiate sports setting.
As an employee, I am determined and hard-working. What I believe sets me apart is my flair for creativity and extroverted personality. I possess a strong knowledge of the niches involved in the sports industry including, but not limited to, working under deadlines, interacting with athletes, thriving in fast-paced environments, long hours, being attentive to details, and all the other unique experiences that come with working in the sports industry. Beyond my professional background, here’s a snapshot of who I am:
I’m the eldest among seven siblings, and my role as a big sister is one of my greatest joys. I am a dog mom to two, Maverick and Millie, the sweetest pups. I love to read, specifically genres spanning romance, thrillers, and fantasy. When it comes to TV, you might catch me binging shows like Grey's Anatomy, Vampire Diaries, Game of Thrones, and Bridgerton. Some of my favorite musical artists include Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Noah Kahan, and Zach Bryan. A geek at heart, I love all things Marvel, Star Wars, and have a notable record of over 40 visits to Disney World. I was a competitive cheerleader for over 15 years. I love to travel, try new restaurants, go to concerts, and just enjoy all the things life has to offer. Sports hold a special place in my heart, whether I'm cheering as a fan, on the sidelines as a cheerleader, or professionally involved. I live by the idea that the more you celebrate life, the more there is in life to celebrate.
